Our home inspection company's history began in 1991 with the establishment of American Home Inspection. Over the course of the following seven years a home inspection business prototype was developed that could be implemented anywhere in the United States. Our founders believed they had a unique methodology of providing homebuyers and sellers with consistent, professional and unbiased home inspections.

In late 1998 Inspect-It 1st Franchising Corporation® was founded and purchased the assets of American Home Inspection. Soon thereafter we began offering home inspection franchises.  Located across America you'll find Inspect-It 1st® home inspectors whom you can trust to provide you with a consistent, thorough, and professional inspection.

Effective July 1, 2007, Inspect-It 1^st Franchising Corporation® was acquired by ProSpection, LLC, an Ohio-based inspection franchise and a subsidiary of Merrymeeting, Inc. (MMI), an investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of franchised brands. The combined operations will continue to serve customers under the Inspect-It 1^st brand name. This exciting relationship expands our nationwide presence and infuses the organization with the expertise and resources to propel our future growth.
