Our home inspection company's history began in 1991 with the establishment of American Home Inspection. Over the course of the following seven years a home inspection business prototype was developed that could be implemented anywhere in the United States. Our founders believed they had a unique methodology of providing homebuyers and sellers with consistent, professional and unbiased home inspections.
In late 1998 Inspect-It 1st Franchising Corporation® was founded and purchased the assets of American Home Inspection. Soon thereafter we began offering home inspection franchises. Today our mission remains the same: to be the BEST home inspection company in the industry. We remain committed to providing quality service, with the integrity that homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals demand and deserve.
Effective July 1, 2007, Inspect-It 1st Franchising Corporation® was acquired by ProSpection, LLC, an Ohio-based inspection franchise and a subsidiary of Merrymeeting, Inc. (MMI), an investment firm specializing in the acquisition and development of franchised brands. The combined operations will continue to serve customers under the Inspect-It 1st brand name. This exciting relationship expands our nationwide presence and infuses the organization with the expertise and resources to propel our future growth.
